Marion uses automatic writing to explore reactions to events in her life. She uses a book set in the West Country, a place of her heritage, called ‘Dartmoor Omnibus’ by Eden Philpotts she selects words and text, these extracts are used across a wide range of forms and vessels.

Marions artwork has seen an exploration of vessels in porcelain paper clay and the fragile impermanence of life. She creates delicate and fragile bottle forms, houses and boats. Installation is a key part of her work with installations for 'Turn the Page' Artist Book fair and Vista Algre Museum, Portugal.

She studied a BA in Fine Art Ceramics at Bretton Hall West Yorkshire adjacent to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park. The effect of being so close to sculpture was that her artwork is motivated by sculpture in ceramic form.

She is also Co-founder of StudioDo, Open Access Ceramics and Education in Norwich set up in 2011 for the promotion of ceramics and ceramic education, a teaching/mentoring space with an open access membership and is course leader for Foundation Art and Design at City College, Norwich.
International exhibitions include ‘TOOL’ in Medulta, Canada, ‘Poetry in the Visual’ Aveiro Portugal, ‘The ARTery of London’ St.Katherines Docks London. Artistic residency in Aveiro, Portugal creating works in collaboration with Vista Alegre also saw her as a guest artist in the Ceramics Biennale 2018.
Her artwork is held in private collections around the world and in public collections; The Archie Bray Foundation USA and The Museum of Aveiro Portugal.
